Medium bamboo with culms reaching a height of 4 meters with a diameter of 1 cm. 

Very hardy down to -35°C

F. robusta can be used at any place in the garden: as specimen, as a hedge or screen and as pot plant. When used as pot plant ample water has to be provided in dry conditions. It grows best in half shadow but can grow in sunny places as well.
